Dental Implants

Discover the Benefits of Dental Implants

Dental implants are an excellent option for replacing missing teeth. Unlike dentures or partials, they provide a secure fit without the worry of slipping or sliding. Care for dental implants is simple - just maintain your regular brushing and flossing routine.

Additionally, unlike traditional bridges, dental implants don't require altering your healthy teeth. In fact, implants can even support bridges, minimising the need for modifications during more complex restorations.

All surgical or invasive procedures come with inherent risks. We recommend consulting a qualified healthcare professional for a second opinion before proceeding.

Improved Functionality

Dental implants function like natural teeth, allowing you to chew and speak with confidence. They restore your ability to enjoy a wide variety of foods without discomfort or worry about slippage.

Enhanced Aesthetics

Designed to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth, dental implants improve your smile and overall appearance. They help maintain your facial structure, preventing the sunken look that can occur with missing teeth.

Long-Term Oral Health

Unlike traditional bridges, dental implants do not require altering adjacent teeth. They help preserve your jawbone by preventing bone loss and promoting better overall dental health in the long run. With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime.

Dr Rabih or Mike has taken good care of our families dental needs for over a decade. He goes the extra mile - on the last free day before the level 4 covid lockdown, when everyone was looking after their own families, Mike was helping me with an urgent dental problem. He has the best people working with him, they're a great team. Thanks for the new implants Mike, they look great!

Do I Need Dental Implants?

For many individuals, missing teeth may seem like a cosmetic issue, and it's understandable to feel this way. However, the implications extend far beyond appearance.

Gaps in your smile can place added stress on your remaining teeth, increasing the risk of damage, fractures, and further tooth loss. Additionally, missing teeth can make it difficult or painful to enjoy the nutritious foods essential for your overall health.

A more serious concern is that one or more missing teeth can lead to significant bone loss in your jaw over time. When teeth are absent, the jawbone can weaken from lack of stimulation, resulting in visible changes to your facial structure and an older appearance.

How Dental Implants Can Help

Dental implants can effectively halt this process, providing a stable and long-lasting solution.

Frequently Asked Questions

Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

Dental implants are intended to blend in among your natural teeth.

One of the advantages of this is that you can brush and floss them the same as you would with your regular teeth. While implants never get cavities (and never need root canals!), you still want to continue brushing and flossing to keep your natural teeth and your gums healthy.

Am I a Candidate for Dental Implants?

Most healthy adults are suitable candidates fir dental implants; however, certain health conditions may affect their success.

During your consultation, we'll ask you a series of questions about your health history. This information is crucial in determining if dental implants are right for you.

Even if you have health concerns, we often can still accommodate your needs with the right precautions in place. Your health and comfort are our top priorities!

Your Dental Implant Process

Before starting the dental implant procedure, we conduct a comprehensive evaluation, including X-rays. Since the implant is anchored directly to your jawbone, it's essential to assess its condition. If needed, you may be a candidate for grafting or other procedures to enhance your jawbone.

Once we determine that you're ready, we'll place the titanium screws for your implants. After sufficient healing, you'll receive a temporary crown while we wait for your permanent crown to be crafted in the dental lab. When your permanent crown is ready, you'll return to our clinic for placement. We'll ensure that it fits perfectly and looks natural, completing your implant process,
