Payment Options

At Peninsula Dental Centre, we have various payment options to help make your dental care more affordable. These include:

  • EFTPOS, Cash and all major Credit Cards, including Visa and MasterCard.
  • Q MasterCard® and Q Card®   Credit cards & Long term Finance - Q Cards  

    When you use these cards through our EFTPOS machine, you automatically get three months interest-free. If you do not already have       a Q Card®, you can apply for one in our practice or by clicking here

Government Assisted help

Basic dental services are free of charge until you're 18.

But, if you need dental care after 18 and you're on a low income or have a disability, illness or injury, you can apply for government help. For more information, please click here.

Dental Care for Teenagers (13-18 years old)

Adolescents can receive free dental care until they turn 18. The free dental care includes the following services:

  • A yearly check-up (including x-rays, if necessary).
  • Basic dental treatment such as fluoride application, fissure sealants, and fillings.
  • Dental emergencies.

Note: Orthodontic extractions and tooth whitening are not free for children under 18. Accidents are covered by ACC.

 

Dental Care for Children (Under 13 years old)

Dental therapists provide dental care in a school or community dental clinic from age 0 to Year 8 (the last year of intermediate school).

Dental therapists provide routine dental care and oral health education to children under 13 years old. Procedures they may perform include delivering local anaesthetics, fillings, primary tooth extraction, professional cleans, fissure sealants, and fluoride applications. If care is beyond their scope of practice, the dental therapist will refer to an appropriate dentist or specialist dentist.
